Born and raised between Brooklyn and Queens, NY, Sydney Lowe is a creative content producer & photographer passionate about bringing diverse, visually interesting untold stories to life.
As a producer, Sydney has assisted and collaborated with writers, creative directors, editors & cinematographers to produce original video content for international marketing campaigns for award-winning HBO series (Game of Thrones, GIRLS, Boardwalk Empire, The Jinx, & Bessie ) and for the 2015 Kate Spade #MissAdventure campaigns starring Anna Kendrick, Zosia Mamet & feminist icon, Gloria Steinem. Sydney has worked as Producer's Assistant to Show Creator & Executive Producer Issa Rae on the HBO Golden Globe nominated comedy, Insecure, and is part of the producing team behind the Refinery29 and TNT Shatterbox short film, X, directed by Yara Shahidi, star of ABC’s hit comedy series black-ish and Freeform's grown-ish. She is Associate Producer on the 2019 Sundance & Cinereach supported feature film The Last Black Man in San Francisco.
As a photographer, her pictures have been published in PhotoVogue Italia, Refinery29, Nylon.com, Indiewire, NPR, Spotify, Buzzfeed, Deadline Hollywood, Negative Feedback and Frommer's Travel Guide, as well as featured internationally in galleries and exhibition spaces in Italy, Mexico, San Francisco and New York. She is a content contributor to the PhotoVogue Art + Commerce collection, active member of Women In Film and contributing writer to Constellation Magazine. Sydney also runs (with an awesome team of directors!) ART GIRL ARMY, an art collective of diverse female-identifying, transgender, gender-non conforming creatives who unapologetically believe in their work, in themselves and in each other (featured in Teen Vogue, New York Magazine's The Cut, and Artsy.net)
Sydney holds a double B.A. in Visual Culture and Italian Studies from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. She currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.
