Sydney Lowe (she/her) is a creative producer and project manager working across film, TV, branded content & the arts ⚡

Sydney is Associate Producer of A24 & Plan B’s The Last Black Man in San Francisco (New York Times Critics’s Pick, Sundance’s 2019 Best Director Award and Special Jury Prize for Creative Collaboration, Indie Spirit and Gotham Award nominee, President Barack Obama’s 2019 Favorite Movies List ), Executive Producer of Vimeo Staff Pick Lonely Blue Night (2020 HBO APA Visionaries Award, AFI Fest Official Selection & Audience Award Winner, 2021 Palm Springs International Official Selection) and began her career working on Issa Rae’s HBO Emmy-nominated comedy series Insecure. On Participant Media’s Academy Award-winning Narrative Film and Production teams she supported the development of bold, cinematic projects at the nexus of art and impact, including Kahlil Joseph’s BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions (Sundance 2025) and Netflix’s Shirley. As Director of Development within Warner Bros. Television, she developed episodic series by standout, emerging creative voices. Most recently, she's supported Ha-Chan Shake Your Booty! (Sundance 2026 Best Director, Sony Pictures Classics) and RICKY (Sundance 2025, Best Director). Her body of work also includes production coordination support for branded content and commercial projects for HBO, LiquidIV, Kate Spade, Refinery29, Harper's Bazaar Germany, Instagram, Instacart and Uber.

Sydney is a Google-Certified Project Manager with a track record of co-leading programming initiatives across powerhouse cultural institutions. At Sundance Institute’s Feature Film Program as Interim Manager of Producing & Artist Support, she managed the development and execution of the 2023 Producers Lab and Fellowship, providing bespoke creative and strategic support of their innovative slate of feature films. As Special Projects Consultant at Film Independent in partnership with Netflix and FX, she co-managed the 2024 Amplifier Fellowship Residency and Imaginar TV Incubator, awarding nearly $200,000 in unrestricted grants to 12 exemplary working artists. She has served as Creative Development Reader/Screener Consultant for Sundance Institute’s Development Track, Film Independent Labs, Sesame Street Workshop Writers’ Room, Telluride Film Festival, Big Sky Docs and Cannes American Pavilion —as well as spearheaded creative showcases, panels, and workshops – collaborative efforts recognized in Teen Vogue and New York Magazine's The Cut.

Sydney is inspired by the transformative powers of community, collaboration, interdisciplinary study, accessible resources and out-of-the-box thinking. Her profound love for the arts at large and civic engagement have frequently drawn her to creative spaces and projects that reimagine public good. She is an SFFILM FilmHouse Creative Advisory Board Member, LA County Department of Arts & Culture Grant Panelist, Film Independent Fellow, WarnerMedia Fellow and a TIME'S UP Entertainment "Who's in the Room" Creative Producer Mentee.

A graduate of Wesleyan University, she currently lives in Los Angeles, but is forever a New Yorker at heart.
